Strawberry adds another hotel north of the Arctic Circle

The current Radisson Blu Hotel in Bodø will be rebranded before becoming part of Strawberry on 1 January 2027. The parties have also agreed to renovate the communal areas and add a new gym.

Pandox and Strawberry have agreed a lease for the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bodø, a city just north of the Arctic Circle. Strawberry will thereby take over operation of the hotel, which will also get a new brand and a new name. The handover will take place on 1 January 2027.

– Bodø is a priority area for us and a city with fantastic development. The city has huge potential and, with the right moves, could become as popular as Tromsø. By offering different types of experiences to different types of guests and different types of trips, Strawberry will help increase its appeal both nationally and internationally. This will be our second Clarion Hotel in Northern Norway, rounding out our offering in Bodø, says Petter A. Stordalen, owner of Strawberry.

To be renovated
The hotel spans 13 floors, with the top floor housing a sky bar with a fantastic view. In total there are 191 guest rooms and suites, and conference capacity for 700 people across up to 17 meeting rooms, including both boardrooms and banqueting facilities.

– Strawberry and Pandox have worked well together for many years across several hotels. Now we're going to revitalise together what was once Bodø's first international-standard hotel. We're starting by renovating the ground-floor communal areas to elevate the hotel into a Clarion Hotel. By bringing the hotel into Strawberry, we believe there's greater scope to strengthen one of the country's most exciting destinations, says Stordalen.

Aiming to lift the whole of Bodø
Strawberry already has a presence in Bodø with Home Hotel Grand Bodø, Comfort Hotel Bodø, Quality Hotel Ramsalt and Wood Hotel.

– It's going to be incredibly exciting to be part of rebranding the hotel as Clarion Hotel Bodø and expanding our offering to guests.
