Strawberry expands in Southern Sweden – two hotel gems join the family
In the fall of 2026, Hotel Öresund Conference & Spa in Landskrona and Hotel Carlshamn in Blekinge will become part of Strawberry’s hotel portfolio. Through a franchise agreement with Thandagruppen, local entrepreneurship will be combined with Strawberry’s Nordic reach and growing loyalty program.
Petter Stordalen, founder of Strawberry, views the partnership as a perfect match for both guests and the destinations involved.

The transition begins on September 1st, when Hotel Öresund Conference & Spa in Landskrona joins the Quality Hotel brand. The hotel is renowned for its unbeatable harbor location and an award-winning spa overlooking the Sound. As part of Quality Hotel, its role as the region’s premier meeting point for both large-scale conferences and relaxing weekend getaways will be further strengthened.
On October 1st, Hotel Carlshamn will join Home Hotel. Housed in a beautiful, historic building on the waterfront, the hotel serves as Karlshamn’s "natural living room." Within the Home Hotel family, the cozy, welcoming atmosphere will be further enhanced by the chain’s signature concept—where both afternoon coffee and an evening meal are included for all guests—in an environment designed to feel more like a home than a hotel.
For Thandagruppen, joining Strawberry represents an opportunity to combine local heart with Nordic strength.
